|Real Name||The Sentinel|
|Latin Name||Praesidium Vigilo|
|Attacks||Stomp, Slash with knife|
Argus has two main attacks; it stomps its feet just like all of the other bipedal Colossi, and it uses its large, cleaver-like knife much like Gaius uses its sword to slash at Wander. It also has a third attack where it slams its arm down once it loses its weapon.
You must first make your way over to a platform on the left or right side of the area, you can't go any higher until you lure Argus over to stomp it. Once Argus has stomped the platform, it will rise up on the opposite side giving you the chance to climb up higher. Once you are up there, get under the pillars and shoot an arrow at Argus. It will become enraged and try to slash at you with its knife causing part of the ceiling to fall down, giving you access to a higher ground. Jump on the slab that fell down, then jump up and slide over to an open spot that you can climb up. Look around for a staircase that leads to the top of the area. Once you are here, get on the bridge but stay on the entrance to the bridge, because Argus will strike it with his knife and destroy most of it. Wait for Argus to come close to you, then jump on its head. Argus shakes his body much more than any other Colossi in the game, so it may take some time to deal damage. By now you have lots of grip, and that is necessary, as he will sometimes shake for nealy a minute at a time. After stabbing its head a few times make your way down its right arm, between the shoulder and the elbow, and stab it once. This will cause it to drop the knife it is holding. Now you can either try to climb down or jump onto its right hand to stab its final weak spot which will bring it down.
If for some reason you fall off of him you will just have to repeat the steps to get back on top of him. But if you only need to stab his hand, wait for him to do a slam attack with his arm so you can grab onto his hand.
In Hard mode, Argus has another Magic Sigil on his Left Upper Chest, he will also shake much more than usual.
Meaning of NameEdit
Argus refers to Argus Panoptes, a primordial giant in Greek mythology. He was said to have a hundred eyes. He was the perfect guardian, since only a few eyes slept at a time, leaving at least part of him wakeful at all times to defend. The epithet "Panoptes" literally means "all-seeing." Besides his being a guardian, he is linked to Argus Panoptes by hundreds of eyes carved into the temple he lives in.
Praesidium Vigilo translates as "Vigilant Guard."
Praesidium is Latin for "protection" or when someone is sitting before a council. In military terms, it refers to a guard, escort, or post.
Vigilo is a Latin word that means "vigilant" or "watchful."
- If Wander is to lose grip on Argus's neck while he shakes, Wander will be tossed a very vast distance.
