Avus was a dragon-like colossus, although some people say it is a Roc, who was, for unknown reasons, not in the

released version of the game.

Avus was actually the prototype version of Avion, the fifth colossus. The creators changed the colossus' appearance and changed the battle from taking place in the desert to above a lake.
