The Desert Fortress is a massive castle located to the West of the entrance to the Forbidden Land. From a distance, Desert Fortress can be difficult to spot due to the sand dunes surrounding it. The fortress houses Argus, the fifteenth colossus. The entire building is decorated with carvings of eyes, which is a reference to the name of the colossus, Argus. In Greek mythology, Argus Panoptes was said to be a giant with one hundred eyes; a perfect guardian. Due to a fallen column in the first passageway, Agro cannot enter the fortress.
